The Holidays!

We had a great time at Aunt Kathy's for Thanksgiving. The food was wonderful and the company was great. Colt had all of the attention, or course, and loved every minute of it. He also enjoyed staying at Grandma Rhonda's too. He loved playing with Mike's old tractors and the barn that Ronald built. He made Mike take him on the 4 wheeler and the tractor many times. He couldn't get enough of Uncle Jeff and was sad when we had to leave. He loved decorating gingerbread men with Grandma, and made a HUGE mess! He really liked the sprinkles.
We cut down a tree a couple of nights ago and Colt loved it. Well, he loved riding on the hay ride to get the tree. He was terrified of Santa and wouldn't get within 5 feet of him. It was a really fun time and a beautiful place. We will for sure go back next year.
Colt is fun as always and keeping me busy. Some days he insists on wearing a "cape." That is what he has on in the picture of him at the table. He also loves tape. He makes me tape trailers together and tractors together so he can pull them around.
We are looking forward to seeing my family for Christmas. Colt keeps talking about Karsen! He can't wait.

Happy 2nd Birthday Colt!

Colt had a great birthday party this weekend. The weather was perfect. He spent most of his time outside on his new tractor. He is absolutely in love with it. He has already figured out how to drive it quite well. He really got into opening his presents this year, I can't wait to see what he does at Christmas. His cousin Karsen came to his party and he wouldn't let her out of his sight. He also had so much fun with his Papa, Grandma Pam, Grandpa Kurt, and Uncle Feff (as Colt calls him.) I made his tractor cake for him and I don't know if I will do that again. It turned out pretty good though. I will have more pictures to come.

I also put up a few pictures from Halloween. Colt went trick or treating with his friend James again this year and had a ball. He loved riding in the truck again.

Fall!

We went to another pumpkin patch this morning and boy did we freeze! Colt sure didn't seem to mind it. He loved the animals, especially the baby pigs and chicks! We went with Geema and Grandpa Mo and had a great time. Colt also got an early birthday present from Grandma Rhonda, a Ford pickup and horse trailer. He is so in love with it that he wouldn't eat dinner unless it was at the table with him. We also had to take it with us to the pumpkin patch.

I put a ton of pics up because they are all so cute and I couldn't narrow them down. Colt was so lucky to have Papa and Grandma Pam come and stay for a few days. He had so much fun. The first thing he said every morning was, "Papa!" We went to a pumpkin patch and Colt loved it. He was able to take a hay rack hide to the pumpkin patch (he only cared about the tractor that was pulling us). He also got to see lots of animals and lots of pumpkins. Grandma Pam bought him a tractor while we were there and he hasn't put it down since. It even goes into the bath tub with him each night.
Colt continues to amaze us every day with how much he knows. He can count to five, and is getting better at knowing his colors. He loves to read books and we read the same one over and over every day. He even has his favorite parts memorized and reads with me. We are still somewhat working on potty training. Colt will go at least once a day, but it totally depends on his mood beyond that.

Colt has really shown an interest in potty training lately so we decided to go for it this weekend. He really LOVES his Elmo undies. He will go potty every time I sit him on the toilet, but he also went on the ottoman so I think we have a long way to go.
We had a great Labor Day weekend, just the three of us. We went over to some friends house on Saturday night, and Colt got to meet Mateao, who is a week younger than him. They had a great time. Sunday, Mike and I went out on a date, and Colt went over to Sara's house to play with James. He had so much fun I didn't think we were going to get him home. Sara also has a puppy named Koda, so all weekend Colt has been calling for Koda. Mike thinks we now need a puppy. We will see!

Here are a few random pictures from the last couple of weeks. Things are good here. Colt is obsessed with the vacuum. That is all that he wants to play with right now. I bought him a toy one, but he still wants the real one. He pushes it around the house all day long. He is really talking well. Every morning I hear him say, "Momma, are you?" on the monitor. I go in to get him and he tells me hi and to turn on his light. He is doing really well in his big boy bed. He still rolls out of it every once in awhile. He is getting his 2 year molars so he has been a little cranky this week. His Geema and Grandpa Mo are coming to visit this weekend so he is getting really excited.
