Colt went to Lincoln this last weekend to meet his "Uncle" Nate and "Aunt" Kristyn. He immediately loved both of them! They went with us to the UNL rodeo. Colt had a wonderful time. We also got to see his Great Aunt Kathy. We all had a great time at her house, she is such a wonderful host! Colt didn't want to leave. He can't wait to go back and swim in her new pool this summer.
Colt is getting bigger every day. He is now almost 19 lbs! He seems to tower over his friends at daycare. He is such a happy baby, smiling all the time. He is getting better about napping in his crib, thank goodness. He has his 6 month check in a few weeks, it is so hard to believe.

5 Months Old

Colt has had a lot going on this last month. We celebrated Easter in Fullerton with Mike's family and had a wonderful time. Colt was also baptized on April 6th in Fullerton. We had lots of family come to help us celebrate and we are so grateful that they all made the long drive to see us. Colt had a great time watching all of his cousins run around and shortly he will be joining them.
He again has a cold and also has hand, foot, mouth which he got from one of his friends at day care! He has a bad rash all over his hands, feed and mouth. We are hoping he will get over this quickly. It is never boring at our house.
Colt went to his first USTRC roping in Topeka, KS! He had a great time watching Daddy rope. He has been trying to talk him into getting him a pony!
He is over 18 1/2 pounds and growing more every day. Soon he will need a bigger car seat. His Doctor told me last week that most babies don't hit that mark until they are at least 8 months! I guess Colt is ahead of the pack! His favorite things to do now are drool, put everything in his mouth, stick his tongue out, and blow raspberries! He is so cute!

4 months old

It is hard to believe that Colt is already 4 months old. He amazes us everyday with the new things he learns. He is rolling over from his tummy to his back. He is so close going from his back to his tummy but just can't quite get it yet. He is just now getting over his first ear infection. I was hoping to make it through the winter without him catching anything, but no such luck. He still loves to talk and really loves it when we talk to him. He is giggling more and more each day and is really into making high pitched squeaks right now. His reflux seems to be improving and he doesn't seem to spit up quite as much. I only have to change my clothes a couple of times a day now! He wore out our washing machine so we are waiting for a new one to be delivered. He has his 4 month check-up on Monday and we are excited to hear how much he weighs. Last week he was 17.4 lbs! He is outgrowing all of his clothes, thank goodness he has lots of cousins for hand me downs! He will also get his second set of immunizations, wish me luck!

I love to talk!

Colt has found his voice! He loves to talk and giggle! He has also decided that he likes the taste of his thumb. His head control is improving and he is beginning to like his bumbo chair (thanks Grandma Pam!) Colt is really getting interested in his toys. He plays with them and talks to them as well. He seems to be doing well at day care. Last week his teacher told us that he was laughing at the older kids when they came over to him. He is making friends fast.

3 months

Colt is getting so big! He is smiling all the time and starting to giggle every now and then. We figured out that he has refulx so he is on medication and will hopefully be feeling better soon. He is constantly spitting up which keeps the washing machine busy! He went to daycare last week and did very well, better than I did. The last picture of us is after his first day, we were both exhausted! He has the flu, so I kept him home with me today. We have been watching lots of tv (he is a tv junkie!) and taking naps together on the couch, my favorite thing to do with him.

11 Weeks

Colt has been busier than ever. He had his 2 month well check a couple of weeks ago. He weighed 13.6 lbs and was 23 1/4 inches! That puts him in the 85th percentile for weight and the 55th percentile for height. He doesn't miss a meal! He also got four shots which he wasn't very thrilled about!
He had his first lunch date with friend Hudson and his mom Austyn. He was very well behaved, we had a great time. Yesterday Colt attended his first birthday party. His friend James turned 4 years old. As soon as we got there he puked on James' mom Sara! Hopefully we will be invited over again!
I am headed back to work on Thursday so my mom is coming to babysit. The following week Colt will start daycare twice a week! We are a little nervous, especially since he constantly wants to be held and won't nap unless you are holding him. Maybe his new friends will teach him some good habits.

8 Weeks

Colt is busy getting big! We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Colt proved to be a great traveler and did wonderful despite traveling over 1200 miles. We spent a few days in Bridgeport and Scottsbluff and then traveled to York for a quick stay with Mike's family.

The weather has been so nice this weekend that we decided it was time for Colt to meet the horses. He wasn't quite sure what to think!
