These pics are so cute that I just had to put them up. We started a new game where Colt sits in his dump truck and we push him back and forth. He loves it. He is not quite walking yet but is really getting fast at crawling. When he hears the fridge open he makes a dash to help get things out. Here he is helping himself to a mountain dew.

Colt has been busy the last few weeks. He went with Mike and I to Oklahoma to a USTRC team roping. It was a MARATHON with over 1000 teams! He did pretty well considering! He loved to watch the tractor drag the arena after each rotation. He also enjoyed playing with a poodle. He got a little swing set from the neighbor girl Claire. It was so nice of them to let Colt have it. He LOVES it. Claire came over to play yesterday and Colt had so much fun.

Growing Up!

Colt crawling around getting into trouble.

Colt in his Husker gear getting ready to watch the game and Geema's house in Nebraska.

Cousin Braeden trying to pick Colt up. Who looks bigger?

Colt just loved Jessie. Mike is now trying to talk me into letting him get a dog. All seven cousins: Hunter, Karsen, Lily, Jaxen, Braeden, Cody, and Colt.
Colt got his first hair cut yesterday. He was such a big boy. He looks so much older now I almost cried.

Colt at Geema Judy's house. He wore his Husker jersey and cheered them on. He loves to push things and even walks holding on to toys.
Colt and I waiting at the airport in Kansas City. He was such a good boy on the plane. He slept the entire time, both there and back.

Colt and Daddy on the plane.
Cousin Braeden teaching me how to ride his four wheeler.

Colt riding his new car, he seems to be a little big for it already.

Colt has been really busy lately. He went on his first airplane to go back to NE to meet his new cousin Lily. We were a little nervous taking him, but he was perfect. He had so much fun with all of his cousins, he played and played. He also loved Jessie, the dog. It was a short trip but were were able to spend a little bit of time with everyone. Lily is the most adorable baby, it was so great to finally get my hands on her.

Colt got a haircut yesterday. He wasn't too sure of the scissors at first but sat still. He looks like a little man, all grown up. He is starting to nap a lot better during the day, which is great. He now takes a morning and afternoon nap and sleeps through the night. He still loves bath time and has now figured out how to splash. I end up soaked right along with the bathroom floor.

9 months old

It is hard to believe that Colt is 9 months. Before I know it we will be celebrating his first Birthday. He received a clean bill of health this week from his ENT and Pediatrician. At his 9 month well check yesterday he was 21.1 lbs (70th percentile), 29" long (75th percentile), and his head circumference was 41cm (90th percentile)! I think that last one is from the Petersen side! His Pediatrician also predicted that he would be walking at 11- 11 1/2 months old! I am definitely not ready for that. He has started eating all table food this week and seems to be really doing well. (Who would have guessed that?) Some of his favorites so far are ham, grapes, and as of tonight Nilla Wafers! He kept trying to shove the whole cookie in this mouth. He drinks water out of a sippy cup like a pro now and even drinks from a straw and regular glass. He is crawling all over and is getting really fast. He now pulls up and cruises on the furniture. He loves to play peek-a-boo and is getting better about playing on his own, that is of course until I walk out of the room, then he cries (got to love separation anxiety.) He is getting a visit from Grandma Rhonda in a couple of weeks and then he will be taking his first airplane ride to meet his new cousin Lily. We can't wait.

Colt is starting to feel better after his latest ear infection. We had to take him in on Tuesday because blood was draining out of his right ear. I think we are on the road to recovery. We will keep our fingers crossed that this is the last ear infection and the tubes will do their job. He is in to absolutely everything. He doesn't like the way the floor feels on his knees so he mostly army crawls around the house. His favorite toys right now are the dishwasher, chairs, and leaves off the plants. His two front teeth are just poking through and seem to be bothering him. Hopefully they will break through in the next couple of days. We had to postpone our trip to Aunt Kathy's until he is feeling better, we were all disappointed.

Cousin Lily!

Lily Shae Stull was born July 15th, 2008 at 3:27pm weighing 8 lbs 10 oz and 20.5 inches long. We can't wait to meet her. Isn't she precious?

Yeah for tubes!

Colt playing with cousin Braeden's cowboy hat while watching Uncle Jeff in the slack.

Look at my teeth!
Colt and Papa
Colt playing with his favorite toy, the remote!

Driving in the car on the way to Bridgeport for the 4th of July!

Colt playing before surgery. He really liked it when Amy (Child Life Specialist) blew bubbles so that he could pop them!

Colt and Daddy resting at home after surgery. Everything went great with Colt's surgery this morning. He was the first patient so we were in and out. The ENT surgeon said that there was a lot of fluid and puss in both ears. We are so glad that it is done and hopefully he will be feeling better soon. He was pretty cranky coming out of recovery but crashed as soon as we put him the car. Thanks to everyone for checking on him.
