Colt had so much fun in NE. He insisted on carrying his own bag at the airport and screamed every time I tried to help him. He liked looking out of the window on the plane too. He had a lot of fun playing with his cousins. I think his favorite part of the trip was the gator rides to check the cows. He mooed at them and everything. He kept dragging Geema to the garage to take him on the gator.

These pics are out of order. My little helper is making it somewhat difficult today. Colt has learned to scream, pick his nose, and play in the toilet all this week! He is keeping us very busy. We went to the petting zoo, the KC Zoo, had a a visit from Grandpa Kurt. We are planning on going back to NE for the 4th of July. Colt is really excited to play with all of his cousins.

We have been busy the last few weeks since the weather has been nice. We went to Deanna Rose (petting zoo) and Colt loved it. He really liked running around with the goats. We have also been to the park a few times. Colt spends most of his time going down the slides when we are there. This week we stopped by a friend's house to let their dog out for them and I had to pry Colt off of their son's Cub Cadet power mower toy. He was kicking and screaming, NO, NO, NO! He loved that lawn mower. I am going to have to keep my eye out for one I think. He has been diagnosed with asthma which we treat with a daily inhaler. He is getting better at doing it but still seems to fight it sometimes. He knows that we do two puffs and after the first one he says, "one more, one more." He is so smart. When we are finished he goes and puts it away in the drawer.

Colt's surgery went great on Tuesday. He had a lot of fun riding in the car while we were waiting to go back to the OR. When we met back up with him in the recovery room he was being rocked by a volunteer and he was playing with her hair. They said that was the first thing he did when he woke up. He was a little cranky for the rest of the afternoon but he is back to his old self. We are hoping to be done with surgeries for awhile.
We had a great Easter with my mom. We went to an Easter egg hunt and Colt loved it. He rode all the way there with his Easter basket on his head. (I promise I didn't put it there!) He cried when all the eggs were gone and ran around the botanical garden like a maniac.

Colt has been keeping us busy! He LOVES to play outside and really likes to watch the horses. He talks non-stop, mostly telling me no, but continues to learn new words every day. He still prefers to play with everything except his toys, especially pots and pans.
I took him to the Doctor today for allergy testing and he is NOT allergic to the horses! He also is not allergic to the cats, which I was kind of hoping he would be! It turns out he doesn't really have any allergies, although he tested slightly positive to milk. However, he may have asthma. We are going to try some different things and then go back in two weeks to see how he is doing. I will keep you posted.
I keep hoping for nice weather so that we can get outside and do some fun things. We are going to get sand for a sandbox which I know Colt will love. We are celebrating Easter with my mom and are taking Colt to an Easter Egg Hunt. I am sure it will be an adventure.
Does anyone else think the picture of Colt clapping looks EXACTLY like Uncle Jeff?

Colt had so much fun in Nebraska visiting all of his cousins and Grandparents. He was a great traveler. He did really well on the plane both ways. The only complaint was that he got up at 5am every morning we were there. That one hour time difference was really hard for him. He LOVED checking the cows with Grandpa Mo and Braeden. He would have jumped out of the car window if we would have let him. He also loved their dog Jessie. He said "Hi Jessie" all week and still says it at home. He even called his Papa's dog Magnum Jessie. He was really big on giving kisses to all of his cousins. He also liked Ruby, the pig, who belongs to Jaxen, Hunter, and Cody.
Colt is scheduled for surgery to open up his blocked tear duct on March 24th. It is a quick procedure that is fairly simple. We will keep you all posted.

It was so nice here yesterday we just had to get out of the house. Colt had a blast! He didn't want to go in. He loved running around in the yard. He even 'growled' at the cats! He liked the horses until they got too close, then he would shake his head no! It was so funny. He is quite the talker. Some of his new words are: horse, wow, no, hello, and all done. He talks all the time!
