Merry Christmas! Much to our disappointment (and it hasn't happened in the last 6 years) it wasn't a white Christmas here in MN. We thought for sure it would be. We still had a great time with Geema and Grandpa Mo coming to stay with us. We took Colt ice skating at the Depot which is an old train station. Colt LOVED ice skating, and only fell down once. I am looking into lessons for him. I don't think that you can live in MN and not know how to skate. Colt had so many presents we had to open some on Christmas Eve and some Christmas morning. He really had a good time this year! For the entire month of December our friend Jo Jo (Elf on the Shelf) came to visit each morning. The first thing Colt would say each morning is, "I wonder where Jo Jo is?" We also decorated a ginger bread train which was a ton of fun. He was more in to it than I thought he would be. He also got to have a little Christmas tree in his room and loved decorating it. He wasn't too happy when we had to take it down.

He has started preschool two days a week and seems to really like it. I also enrolled him in a Parks and Rec class that just started today. It is at a fieldhouse, which is really common here. It is basically an astro turf field that they completely enclose in the winter so it can still be used. They have obstacle courses, kick soccer balls, play with parachutes, throw balls, and get all his energy out! He did really good today and can't wait to go back next week.

We look forward to all the blessings that 2012 is sure to bring!

A Little Behind!

With all of the things going on around here I haven't had a lot of time for pictures. We have been so busy moving to a new state (that is my excuse anyway) that I am so far behind. We did manage to fit in a little fun the last few months. We visited a couple of pumpkin patches with friends, spent a week in NE, had an early Birthday party for Colt, and of course went trick-or-treating. We celebrated Colt's Birthday here in MN with a train ride and a construction cake (Colt's choice of course!) We have some fun Christmas activities planned for this weekend that include real live reindeer so stay tuned! I promise to be more timely!

Very Random!

These pictures are all very random, I don't have a "theme" this time. Who's fault is that? Colt's. He has 100% decided that he does NOT want to have his picture taken, which isn't good for someone who has a new found photography hobby. As you can see in the second photo I have resorted to sneaking up on him when he is napping. Not a nap or bedtime go by without his best friend Jelly Cat. He even woke up in the middle of the night last night looking for him. I had to go up and find him under the covers. As soon as he was in his arms he was back to sleep again.

The colors are all a little different in these pics. I am taking an online class so I am trying everything out that I have been learning. I have mostly learned, I have a whole lot more to learn.

The bottom two pics are from a hot dog train ride we took with Geema Judy. Colt had so much fun with her here. She got to stay a few extra days now that she is among the unemployed. We really enjoyed her visit. As soon as she left Grandma Rhonda came to stay, Colt was in Grandma heaven!

4th of July!

We had an absolute blast at Aunt Kathy's for the 4th! All Colt wanted to do was be in the swimming pool. He really gained a lot of confidence over the weekend. He started out not even wanting to get off of the floating chair into the water. It wasn't long and he didn't want anyone to be anywhere near him! He had lots of races with Aunt Paula and he was tough to beat!

He really seemed pretty disinterested in the most of the fireworks. He did like some of the little ones that we did. When it got dark and we watched the bigger neighborhood ones he was more interested in playing with his tractor that Grandma 'Berta and Grandpa Ron gave him.

Colt was really excited to wake up Grandma Rhonda in the mornings. He also was excited that we slept downstairs this time because he got to ride the "chair" every time he needed to go up or down the stairs.

We look forward to another visit to Aunt Kathy's before the summer is over! Thanks for the great weekend!
