Very Random!

These pictures are all very random, I don't have a "theme" this time. Who's fault is that? Colt's. He has 100% decided that he does NOT want to have his picture taken, which isn't good for someone who has a new found photography hobby. As you can see in the second photo I have resorted to sneaking up on him when he is napping. Not a nap or bedtime go by without his best friend Jelly Cat. He even woke up in the middle of the night last night looking for him. I had to go up and find him under the covers. As soon as he was in his arms he was back to sleep again.

The colors are all a little different in these pics. I am taking an online class so I am trying everything out that I have been learning. I have mostly learned, I have a whole lot more to learn.

The bottom two pics are from a hot dog train ride we took with Geema Judy. Colt had so much fun with her here. She got to stay a few extra days now that she is among the unemployed. We really enjoyed her visit. As soon as she left Grandma Rhonda came to stay, Colt was in Grandma heaven!

4th of July!

We had an absolute blast at Aunt Kathy's for the 4th! All Colt wanted to do was be in the swimming pool. He really gained a lot of confidence over the weekend. He started out not even wanting to get off of the floating chair into the water. It wasn't long and he didn't want anyone to be anywhere near him! He had lots of races with Aunt Paula and he was tough to beat!

He really seemed pretty disinterested in the most of the fireworks. He did like some of the little ones that we did. When it got dark and we watched the bigger neighborhood ones he was more interested in playing with his tractor that Grandma 'Berta and Grandpa Ron gave him.

Colt was really excited to wake up Grandma Rhonda in the mornings. He also was excited that we slept downstairs this time because he got to ride the "chair" every time he needed to go up or down the stairs.

We look forward to another visit to Aunt Kathy's before the summer is over! Thanks for the great weekend!

Summer!

Colt has really been enjoying the warm weather. Mainly because that means he gets to go to rodeos! He LOVES to go. He really likes to watch the "bucking broncs" and he tells every cowboy to "HOLD ON!" I have really been starting to come in second lately. Colt wants to do everything that Mike does and go where ever Mike goes. He woke up from his nap today screaming for "Daddy." I went in and asked him what was wrong, he said, "I thought Daddy went to work!" I knew this would happen. Who can blame him, laundry and cooking doesn't come close to tractors and horses.

Giddy Up!

Colt loves Roany Pony! He is really getting interested in riding her and is getting quite good! He also LOVES to lead her around and help load her in the horse trailer. Roany has been getting to go with us to the ropings. Although Colt isn't too interested in her when we get there. He would rather play in the dirt with the other kids.
We had lots of fun celebrating Mike's 31st Birthday in Fullerton over Memorial Weekend. The weather was okay if you like cold, wind and rain! It didn't seem to slow Colt down.
We are headed to our first rodeo of the summer this weekend and to a carnival so stay tuned for more pics!

Funny Faces!

While I have been trying to perfect my camera skills Colt has been perfecting his funny faces! If I want to get a "good" picture of him I have to do it without him knowing that I am taking his picture. These are from last week when the weather was so nice. Colt insisted on eating every meal outside. Which meant less mess for me! Lately if he spills anything on himself he must immediately remove that article of clothing. By the end of dinner he is usually down to his undies! That is why he is shirtless in these!

Easter 2011!

We had a wonderful Easter complete with a train ride! Grandma Rhonda came to help us celebrate. Colt LOVED the train of course, but wanted nothing to do with the Easter Bunny riding in last car. At least last year I was able to get a picture with him (he was crying)! This year he ran the other way.

Arizona!

Colt loves cactus! That is until Grandpa Kurt popped his yellow balloon on one! We had a great time in AZ. Of course we were outside the entire time (Colt's favortie place to be), roped, toured a firestation, and most importantly went to a train park! Colt even showed Grandpa Kurt and Uncle Jeff how to drive their tractor! We really enjoyed seeing everyone.

Colt had surgery this morning to remove his ear tubes that were put in almost 3 years ago. By this time most of them fall out on their own but when it comes to ears Colt has always been difficult! We now have to keep his ears dry for 4-6 weeks, wish me luck! He was so brave he didn't even cry one tear. I was able to go back to the OR with him for induction which I really think helped a lot. We are now recovering at home with snacks and a movie. I couldn't think of a better way to spend the day!
